Tamara Venus Star

Is currently working on finishing her upcoming album entitled "Going to the Coast". It should be released very soon 2007. She has also been working with KeyDragon @ KeyDragon Studio's. Everyone must know the time and effort it takes to make albums! Performing is on the back burner for a bit. I am making appearances here and there in the meantime...working in a choir to strengthen my vocal abilities is also a focus! Thank you Ananda Village for that aspect!

This is the 4th consecutive year that Tamara Venus Star has played the Nevada County Farmers Market!

Tamara says: "I keep singing for this Farmers Market because i truely and strongly believe in supporting the local community farmers markets...especially our organic farmers who grow fruits and vegetables without the deadly herbacides and pesticides which destroy the human bodies immune system. I am very much in support of the Organic Farming industry...and as you may already know...our red soil is not so easy to amend. Thanks to Peaceful Valley Farm Supply (www.peacefulvalley.com) we have the organic supplements and nutrients to enrich the soil.

Of course, I also enjoy the audience while playing the Farmers Market, which range from small children who love to stand by me and watch me play, to the elderly whom delight in the music. I choose to do original music, plus cover tunes which the young and the elderly enjoy. 2 years ago i remember as i was playing a Frank Sinatra cover tune, an older man whom was working the market, zoomed as fast as he could on his golfcart over to where i was playing. He sat there like a king right beside me on his golfcart with eyes closed, very proud like, listening to me play and sing as if I were an angel sent from the heavens to console his heart. It was very sweet and funny to me! It gave me some nice giggles and also touched me with his adorning presence. I hope to see you at the Market everyone!"

The Elks Lodge is a huge Brick Bld behind Carl's Jr. Go into Carl's JR parking lot...and then go past it into the Elks Lodge Parking Lot. The parking lot attaches onto the lake area. This is a great spot! People can leave and go into the lake area.

Come support the Annual Run to Big Mountain/Black Mesa for Thanksgiving by contributing what you can.

Clan Dyken hosts these runs to Big mountain twice a year. Money from these benefits are raised to bring the Native Navaho and Hopi people some support and hope with organic food for a thanksgiving meal, clothing, firewood and carosene. There is also music by Clan Dyken and many more musicians that are present. There are guidelines to the music...as you should read the guideline paper before you go to the Big Mountain Reservation area. In respect for the people.

In solidarity with the struggle the native people of the Big Mountain, Black Mesa region have been going through for years...it is only our responsibility to try and support the natives suffering relocation and genocide.
